Custom domain support

By default, all Lime Forms applications are hosted on domain .lime-forms.com. However, it is possible to customize your application domain on request.

How to set up custom domain for your Lime Forms:

  1. Coordinate with your Lime consultant to obtain the server IP address.
  2. Set up DNS A record using instructions below
  3. Inform Lime consultant that DNS switch has been made

How to Set Up a DNS A Record

Before you proceed, it is important to understand that switching DNS records may result in application downtime.

  1. Log in to your Domain Provider's Control Panel:

    • Visit your domain provider's website and log in using your credentials.
  2. Locate the DNS Settings:

    • Find the section that allows you to manage your domain’s DNS records. This is often labeled "DNS Settings," "Zone File Settings," or "Manage DNS."
  3. Add a New A Record:

    • Look for the option to add a new DNS record or edit existing A Record
    • Select A Record from the list of record types.
    • In the Host/Name field, enter your domain (e.g. example.com).
    • In the Points to/Value field, enter the provided IP address obtained from Lime.
    • Set the TTL (Time to Live) value to 60
  4. Save Your Changes:

    • Once you’ve filled in all the necessary information, save your changes. Depending on provider and previous TTL value, changes may take up to 24-48 hours to propagate worldwide, though in many cases, changes should be visible in few minutes.
    • Validate DNS record propagation using whatsmydns.net
